Mr. President, you lied and you know it.

From Fort Bragg in your address to the Nation Tuesday June 28, you said: “We have a clear path
forward. As the Iraqis stand up, we will stand down.”
Mr. President, no one is standing up. Iraqis and Americans are falling.  Between July 1st and July
3rd, 58 Iraqis died. The rise of civilian deaths by US fire is a fact and a worry as expressed by Prime
Minister Ibrahim Jaafari and 1,746 US soldiers have died since you bombed Iraq.

You lie, and you know it.

You asked:” Is the sacrifice worth it?” but did not wait for an answer. This July 4th weekend in
Philadelphia, a pair of boots symbolizing each U.S. military casualty and a field of shoes
memorializing the fallen Iraqis have been displayed on the ground of Independence Mall. You
should have come and listen to the parents who lost a child in Iraq, you should have come to the
reading of the list of those who died, to hearing the sound of the bell  following each name of the
people you have massacred in Iraq.  There is no sacrifice in murder, Mr. President.
You said:” It is worth it and it is vital to the security of our country.”

You lie, and you know it.

With “EYES WIDE OPEN”, The American Friends Service Committee have brought awareness to
many people in Philadelphia during the week end of the celebration of independence.  “BRING
THEM HOME NOW” is a growing campaign among military families, veterans and American civilians.

There is another campaign going on, it is for your impeachment.  Why? Because YOU LIED AND
YOU KNOW IT.
